We've actually been to the drag races three (me twice) times this year! Of course, being the wonderful wife that I am, I got my husband two tickets to "Pinks All Out" for our anniversary and he chose to take me. Isn't he sweet?! Two days of great racing, but when they're racing to film a TV program...something gets lost in translation. All that chit chat and banter is just down on the track, we couldn't hear any of it!
Then, we worked (and I'll use that term loosely for myself) at the NHRA Nationals. I drove a golf cart around for about 8 hours and my hubby got to get all dressed up in a tux for four days! Did I tell you it was about 80 each of those four days! However, his consolation prize was meeting Ashley Force and getting her, and her father's, autograph. That's a real treat for a guy like him. I think he would have been even happier had he gotten the autograph of Mr. Force's mechanic. I'd never heard of the guy, but he was very impressed with this man.
Hubby got to work the "Night Under Fire" race too! Guess what...more John and Ashley Force and more autographs. He's living the dream this year!!! Colt worked with him and both of the boys donned tuxes for this event. I was doing a little babysitting so I can't take credit for all these photos, but wanted to share them, just the same
