Time to Visit

It's been a while....been busy with that new grand baby! (and what a GRAND baby she is).

Thanksgiving is coming and we'll soon be traveling to enjoy the holiday with my husband's family. What a great bunch of people. His cousin will be there from South Carolina with her husband and two sons, his aunt and uncle, other cousins and their families and my father-in-law. I really love these people. They're my family too.

But you know, they live in the middle of nowhere. Once you get to the top of the mountain, it's all downhill from there. LOL

They live in a remote part of West Virginia that is just beautiful. They're all wonderful cooks too! We'll visit and eat, the guys will work the cattle (yes, there are a bunch of them) and we'll try to get a year of gossip and chit-chat into about three days. The kids will ride four wheelers and dirt bikes, they'll hike up the hill and talk about everything they've done. We'll compare notes on children (and husbands) and laugh and laugh and laugh.

We'll try to leave, but we'll remember something we forgot to tell. We'll have to run back into the house for "just a minute." By the time we leave, it will be late, my husband will tell me his stories and I'll tell him mine all the way home and we'll look forward to doing it again next year.

It's really too bad that we don't make more time for this trip, it's a beauty!
