The Outer Banks of North Carolina. So beautiful, so peaceful. This is the one place I would leave home for but my kids would never let me. Guess I'll just have to take them with me. The beaches are beautiful and I love the lighthouses. We've tried parasailing, dolphin watches and lighthouse hopping. I don't, however, recommend a picnic on the beach when the wind is kicking up...too much sand in your sandwich!
